Manage Registered Email Addresses - ams.unt.edu

On November 13, 2007, UNT implemented an IronPort network appliance to reduce the number of unsolicited email, or SPAM, entering the campus mail system. A best effort was made to associate email addresses with EUIDs in the system. If you have logged into the spam.unt.edu web site and have no SPAM messages in your quarantine, you should follow the steps in this document to confirm your EUID is associated with the email address(es) you normally use.



Login to the Account Management System

  1. Browse to http://ams.unt.edu/ from your favorite web browser. Enter your EUID in the EUID field and your associated password in the Password field then click Login. Forgot your EUID or password?



Managing Registered Email Addresses

  1. Follow the steps outlined in Login to the System.
  2. Select the E-mail option from the menu on left.


  3. Check to see if all of your email addresses show up under Registered E-mail Addresses. By default you should have:
    • first.last@unt.edu
    • euid@ad.unt.edu - Where EUID is your EUID
    • toplevel@unt.edu - Where toplevel is your preferred email address
    • username@po6.cas.unt.edu or username@po7.cas.unt.edu - Where username is your Novell username
    If you receive email for an address that is not listed above you must add it manually. Click the register link under Registered E-mail Addresses


  4. Type the missing E-mail address into the Address box. Click submit.


  5. Double check your spelling and click the Confirm button to continue.


  6. Check your email via your preferred means. It may take a few minutes for the confirmation email to reach your inbox. Click the link in the e-mail to confirm your registered address.


  7. Log Out from the website when you are finished.

Log Out of the Account Management System

  1. Log Out to prevent unauthorized access to your account. Click the Logout button on the left side of the page.
